In Hyperspace Invader, a new arcade space shooter, hostile aliens pursue the human race across the galaxy to deliver a devastating final blow. To save mankind, you must navigate one of 12 ships across a scrolling 3D combat zone and unleash its guns upon an unrelenting stream of aggressors. Although you will face more than 50 different enemies and six massive bosses throughout 30 levels of intense action, your arsenal includes 10 upgradeable weapons, 10 powerful missiles and power-ups that tip the odds of survival in your favor.

It's fully 3D, thoroughly modern, and its very name pays homage to the classic that started it all. Hyperspace Invader is the current high water mark in vertical-scrolling shooters, from it's eye-popping graphics to it's vast array of features.

Few games let you blow so many things up in so many ways. Your ship of choice (there are 12 of them to unlock) can handle 10 types of rapid-firing weapons and 10 more missiles and/or bombs. Mouse or keyboard controlled, you can fire both types of weapons at once, although you're only given a limited number of the latter – which are considerably more powerful.

Enemies are numerous and varied, and swarm about you in that old arcade way that just doesn't happen in modern 3D gaming anymore. Bosses crop up every now and then, and it'll take all of your powers to beat those evil mothers.

Hyperspace Invader has bonuses galore, awesome 3D backgrounds, and even lets you customize the camera angle. It presents the kind of furious action that will have you pausing the game every now and then just to breathe and grab a glass of water to replace some of the fluids as you inevitably sweat buckets during play.
