Despite the fact it breaks very little new ground, this puzzle game offers quite a challenge to fans of the genre. In Mad Caps, you must match three or more like soda-pop caps to remove them from the board and score points. The game tells you how many possible moves you have and can offer you hints if you get stuck. Not only will you find three difficulty levels, you'll also get three play modes, all of which are equally challenging. In Classic mode, you must achieve a certain score before you run out of moves, whereas the Arcade option pits you against the clock. The ability to play in full-screen or window modes and to adjust the volume level rounds out the feature set. For a relatively simple puzzle game, Mad Caps boasts both decent graphics and audio.
