Play the Classic Game under the familiar rules, trading cards for armies and rolling the dice to outdo your opponent. For fans of the great board game, this program is a perfect representation of the classic task of global domination. While the trial version is only one hour-not nearly enough time to complete any mission – it does give you a sense of the program's capabilities. The animation is well designed and smooth, the textures are rich and detailed, and the gameplay is as intense and challenging as you desire. That said, the world map gave us pause; for some reason the Ukraine is about as large as Greenland, and China no way near as bulky as she should be, but with the game of Risk, it's not the country's size that matters, anyway. Explosions, whizzing bullets, and the victorious cries of grateful citizens all add excitement. Overall, if you're a fan of the one-dimensional game, this three-dimensional version will thrill you even more.

Risk II is the ultimate form of this game of world domination that people of all ages have enjoyed for forty years!
