Game Overview

Pokemon X and Y is an exciting location-based Pokemon game inspired by Paris and France, where the player can pump up their favorite pocket monsters beyond recognition.

History and Location

The core series of the Pokémon franchise hasn't changed much since the first installment was released in 1996. The player who just picked his starting Pokémon is still new to the world of wild battles. Together with a buddy, the protagonist decides to become the best trainer by defeating the elite four. To claim the "strongest" trophy you need to collect eight badges, which are given for victories over other trainers. It's not bad to catch a lot of Pokémon along the way. A team of six trained critters will help you reach the end and complete the task with confidence.

The Pokemon X and Y map shows seventeen cities to visit. Many travelers will recognize the home of the croissant. There is even a gym with the Eiffel Tower.

Pros of Pokemon X and Y:

  • New Pokémon types.
  • Two-on-two battles
  • Online battles.
  • Trade

Gameplay

As the player strolls through the location, there is often a mob of wild Pokémon hiding in the tall grass and dark caves. Fight! The ravenous Pokémon team is always a little lower level to give the player a chance.

You can customize your own character:

  • Skin color
  • Hair
  • T-shirt
  • Jeans

In large cities there are all sorts of stores where you can spend pokédollars on new outfits that express individuality. Although you can rarely see the character in 3D - sometimes in battles and cut-scenes.

After the game, the main character gets candy, which can be fed to Pokémon. Do not neglect this bonus, because then the friendship between the player and the pocket animal is improved. Pokémon will dodge attacks more often and deliver a critical hit if they are nourished and pampered.

Super Training mode trains Pokémon. Such training will help increase level and combat performance. Exercise will improve speed, attack power, and health. In the first levels, the player competes with an inflatable Pokémon. Later, a punching bag is unlocked, which will increase the benefit of the workout.

A new feature compared to the old games is Mega Evolution. This is a form of Pokémon development. It makes them much stronger and changes their appearance.

A great game with new modes that fans of Pokémon Black and White, Pokemon Sun and Moon, and Pokémon Red and Blue will love.
